How IMG's Should Fill Out The ERAS Forms To Obtain Residency Interview Invitations

Traditionally, IMG’s have used observerships to get interview invitations.

With the COVID19 pandemic, rotations have been interrupted.

Some IMGs will only have the ERAS form and the personal statement/LOR combo as the best way to introduce themselves to programs across the country.

This is why the form needs to be filled out correctly!

With everything going virtual these days, the 2021 match season will be mostly likely be virtual as well.

This means every word in your application will count as programs will review that in order to determine who gets invited for interviews.

But as an IMG, how do you know if you have filled out the ERAS form correctly to get the most invitations?

Oftentimes, I realize IMG's leave out pertinent detail that paint the picture of what they have accomplished thus far.

Trust me, I know this because I made the same mistakes!
