The Folly in my "Wisdom".

Proverbs 28:13.

He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, But whoever confesses and turns away from his sins will find compassion and mercy.

When you pray, tell God as it is. Why? Because he already knows everything about you anyways. He knows your deepest thoughts, desires and processes. He created you and so he knows how your mind works. He knows the most mundane and private things about your life. He knows how many hairs your have on your head.  Luke 12:7 Indeed the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not be afraid; you are far more valuable than many sparrows. He knows how many hair follicles you have on your entire body. He knows how many shades of tanned you are at this very moment. He knows what you like and who you are alike. You as a single person cannot reinvent the wheel for God.  Ecclesiastes 1:9-10 That which has been is that which will be again, And that which has been done is that which will be done again. So there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which it can be said, “See this, it is new”? It has already existed for the vast ages of time recorded or unrecorded Which were before us.Refusing to "come clean" before God is pride. Pride is denying the essence of God's all knowing being. It is refusing to acknowledge the wisdom, omnipotence, omnipresence and grandiosity of our unfathomable God. You as an individual; a single part of his great creations around you cannot trick God. Remember that. Our minds are little, our version of wisdom is folly before him. That's how small we are. So, yes Einstein, Osler, Hippocrates, Beethoven, Columbus, Shakespeare, Marie Curry and all those whom you hold in high esteem or the greatest innovators of all times still pale in comparison to our creator. And if some of these are greater than that which is to come- then how much more of God? 1 Corinthians 3:19-23 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness absurdity, stupidity before God; for it is written in Scripture, “He is The one who catches the wise and clever in their craftiness;” and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the humanly wise, that they are useless.” So let no one boast in men about their wisdom, or of having this or that one as a leader. For all things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas Peter or the world or life or death or things present or things to come; all things are yours, and you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God. Hopefully these scriptures have helped to open our eyes about what we can hide from God? Which is NOTHING!I choose to save myself the stress and be honest to God in my prayers. R-rated; to tell him as it is. To disclose to him as I perceive life; my lusts, infatuations, misconduct, temptations. All those things I can't talk about in public for the fear of embarrassment- they are safe in God because he will exchange them for compassion and mercy. Even forgiveness and wholeness. 1 John 1:8-9 If we say we have no sin refusing to admit that we are sinners, we delude ourselves and the truth is not in us. His word does not live in our hearts. If we freely admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just true to His own nature and promises, and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose. Back to our original scripture in Proverbs 28:13 may we be encouraged to expose our sin to God in our prayer time. When we confess them AND renounce them (more importantly) we find mercy Proverbs 14:2 He who walks in uprightness reverently fears the Lord and obeys and worships Him with profound respect, But he who is devious in his ways despises Him. Bonus track : Mercy by Bethel music 🎶 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sILwvJShMV8&feature=sharehttps://youtu.be/sILwvJShMV8
